ASPDC Web Site Launch

Before and After

The Academic Staff Professional Development Committee web site has just launched. It is a complete refresh from their old web site. Above is the visual comparison of the old (left) to the new (right). The refresh brings the site into a modern look with university branding, simplified navigation and page structure.

Redesign Goals

The goals of the redesign were to get users the information they need quickly and secondly make the committee look like it was part of the university.

The first required us to rethink the navigation and bring some promotions out front. So Travel Grants which is the primary focus for faculty is not only a menu item but also a promotional image under the main menu. Upcoming events and deadlines also made their way to the homepage in call out areas to distinguish themselves from the rest of the content.

The second part was key since they are part of the university and we accomplished this by using the university global header and footer. Bringing the site into the university colors and font type/spacing standards.

Overall

With the design and information updates the site now has a professional look, information which is easier to find and also a spot to display images by event.
