New Financial Aid site launches

We just launched the new Office of Student Financial Aid web site which also includes the Law School Office of Student Financial Aid. The goal of the redesign project was to completely change the information architecture to get new students to not only understand but also search and apply for financial aid.

The old site overgrew its design and essentially became a linking ground for forms/announcements and applications. It turned into a great resource for users already familiar with the ins and outs of financial aid but was pretty intimidating to incoming freshmen who have never applied or even know what financial aid options are available.

In the new site we step the user through the process, from the basics to applying and keeping your award. Another positive for the new site is the one page deadlines area and the homepage events, students are now able to see upcoming deadlines and future deadlines all in one spot.
